We are so excited to celebrate the first day of summer with the 2018 CRAFT BEER & CIDER FESTIVAL SUNSHINE COAST! We’ve compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions so you can get the facts right here and spend more time brewing and chewing with the ones you love most.

Festival Hours: 1pm until 9pm (last drinks at 830pm)
Location: Sunshine Coast Stadium, Fields 1 and 2. Entrance via 320 Nicklin Way, Bokarina. QLD
The event is a 100% cashless event. With no cash to handle, this helps our bars and exhibitors process transactions quickly, giving you more time to enjoy the festival.
Leave your cash at home and bring your debit card or credit card and get ready to ‘tap & go’. Tapping up can be done at any brewer, food truck, bar or the festival merch tent. No card fees, No top-up fee means – No refunds to worry about.
FREE BUSES will depart from Moffat Beach Brewery, Sunshine Brewery, Sneaky Baron, Mooloolaba River Esplanade Bus Station START from 5 pm, returning on the hour with the last bus from the stadium at 9 pm. Book your bus to avoid disappointment. Festival starts at 1pm but FREE bus service doens’t start until 5pm.
SPECIAL ADDITION BUSES will depart from Bargara Brewery, MacCleods Brewery, Thirsty Chief Brewery, Noosa Land and Sea Brewery. TBC departure point for Glasshouse Brewery, Eumundi Brewery. Please check costs and book with the brewery.
Travelling to CBCF:
If you are driving to the Sunshine Coast Stadium, how about filling the seats in your car and travelling with a friend or two? Carpooling is a great way to save some petrol money and reduces the number of cars on the road, therefore reducing pollution and traffic congestion at the venue. Plus you’ll only have to find one car park instead of two.
Translink Bus Routes 600 and 602 run North and South along Nicklin Way on a regular basis. Patrons can disembark at the following stops:
Northbound: Nicklin Way at Quad Park (301537) or Nicklin Way at Main Drive (301536)
Southbound: Nicklin Way at Main Drive (301535) or Nicklin Way at Quad Park (301538)

Suncoast Cabs are available for hire for patrons travelling to and from the Sunshine Coast Stadium. Suncoast Cabs can be contacted on 131 008
Uber is available on the Sunshine Coast for patrons to utilise to get to and from the Sunshine Coast Stadium. Patrons will need to have the Uber app activated on the Smartphone in order to use this service.
Pick Up / Drop Off Zones
For major events, pick up and drop off zones will be located on Sportsmans Parade and Nicklin Way. These areas will be clearly marked so patrons are aware of where they are located.
For Major events, car parking will cost $10 per car and will be payable by Eftpos. Maps showing the various parking locations and entry points will be released prior to major events so that patrons are aware of where to go.
Festival bus routes: *IMPORTANT* while you may catch the festival bus free of charge, you do need to register ahead of time to avoid being left behind!
Buses will depart and arrive in Caloundra, Mooloolaba, and Maroochydore from the festival site.
Arriving at CBCF: We want you to get your brews and avoid lengthy queues so please have your ID ready, bags open for security check and your ticket on hand to scan (printed version or displayed on your phone) on arrival.
All tickets will receive their Entry Festival Glass and two Tasting Tokens (valid for 150ml tastings or festival rides only).
VIP will receive a VIP wristband which must be worn for entry into the VIP Beer Garden, Entry Festival Glass and two Tasting Tokens (valid for 150ml tastings or festival rides only).

Event tokens are valid for 150ml tastings only in your FESTIVAL GLASS. Tokens are available to buy at $2.50 each for rides only, at the merch tent or at the kid’s slime tent and can be used for rides or 150ml tasters. Please note that tokens must be used for any rides in sideshow alley. Cash will not be accepted.
Tastings and Glass Sizes: Get ready to up your sample game with over 200 varieties of craft beer and cider available throughout the event!
Festival glass will have 3 pour lines, 150mls, 280ml & 425mls and is a reusable festival glass, no Festival glass no entry. A paddle for 3 x 150ml beers is $25, and a paddle refill is $15.
Non-Alcoholic Beverages: So, what if you’re not into beer, cider, red or white wine, cocktails and bubbles or are under 18?
Mocktails, water, and soft drinks are available for purchase throughout the festival at most food stalls.
Celebrating the first day of Summer it’s bound to be a scorcher! Please remember to bring a drink bottle, there will be some free drink bottles (while stock lasts) so hydrate at the Unity Water Van throughout the day and always drink responsibly.
Food: Street food stalls and local produce will be available throughout the festival ground. Please note that no external food will be accepted into the festival site.
Seating and Shade/Cover: As with all events, seating and shade are limited due to numbers. Bring your fold up chair or picnic rug (we have picnic rugs for sale at the merch tent), Beach Umbrella’s will be available for hire for $20 and staff will set them up for you to create your own shaded area. In case of rain, poncho’s are available for sale.
Rides and Children: Craft Beer and Cider Festival Sunshine Coast is pumped to bring back sideshow alley for the young and young at heart! We want to see you jump, paint, slime, and dodge but please remember that height restrictions do apply for some rides (parents must ride with their child if they still wish to ride).
All children MUST be supervised by a responsible parent at all times.
Staff and Volunteers: All staff and volunteers will be wearing BREW CREW t-shirts for easy identification. Please give them a high-five and your utmost respect as many have given up their time to bring this event to life.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Festival site. Smokers are asked to smoke outside the venue in the allocated DOSA area. Please note that anyone smoking within the festival site will be removed from the venue.
Ticket Refunds: Please note that all tickets are non-refundable but fully transferable to another 18+ guest.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
- Unruly behaviour and intoxicated patrons will be refused service and asked to leave the festival
- All bags will be searched and are subject to inspection at any point during the event
- Bottles, cans, glass, food, drink, alcohol, illicit drugs, illegal substances, fireworks, umbrella’s, explosives or anything that can be used as a weapon cannot be brought into the festival.
- Children must be supervised by a responsible parent at all times and have their U’18 wristband worn at all times
